Leaving tomorrow

Hi everyone ! Today I would like to talk about what I did at Windsor Castle on excursion yesterday. We visited St. George Chapel, it was beautiful and very interesting (graves of kings and queens, the edge,...) We ate our picnic outside with a very nice view and wanted to look at Queen Mary's doll house but there was a long line and time was running out so we left to meet everybody at the exit. After that, we had some free time in town to buy some souvenirs or just go to a cafe. I had fun !
Tonight, I have to start packing because I am leaving early tomorrow, I will miss a lot of things and people such as our common room that we decorated and where we used to watch movies, waking up early to take a cold and quick shower, teachers, other students I met here, activities and the superb view behind the football court. I think I improved my English and know a lot more about TOEFL that will be very useful for my exams next year so I am happy with my 2 week course at Queenswood. Goodbye !

Last days at Queenswood

We are now familiar with the campus, the staff and most of the other students. Some of them (like me) are leaving on Saturday so it is a bit sad...But we are enjoying our last days in England. The weather is really bad today (rainy, cloudy and windy) so we can't do an outdoor sport activity. Yesterday was the french national day...It's a shame we didn't do anything special ! See you soon !

Life at Queenswood

Now that I spent a week here, I would like to talk about it with m0re details. So, this is a typical day: Our house parent wakes us up at 7:40 so we can get ready for breakfast and go to classes at 9:15, we work hard until lunch and then again, we study. It sounds boring but we have various types of lessons, for example, during academic class Napoleon and George teaches us grammar and vocabulary in e. communication we update our blog, etc. and on thursday we always have an excursion: the next one is at Windsor Castle. After diner, we have activities, I already did arts and crafts, cricket and badmington, I would like to sign up for swimming, table tennis and football for the next days.

I took many photos in London on Thursday and Saturday, I will upload some of them tomorrow

First days

I arrived at Queenswood on monday, the weather is bad but the campus is beautiful and english lessons are going well (academic class + e. communication + tutor group + TOEFL).
Tomorrow, we are going to London, to visit the British museum. I'll take some photos and try to post them on friday ! I made some friends, most of them are french speaking people but I also talked -in english- to spanish, italian, turkish, polish, russian, bulgarian, and german students. My teachers names are George and Napoleon, they are both from england, but one of them used to live in Tokyo ! We have activities in the evening, from 8 to 10 i think, today I signed up for badmington, even if my wrist still hurts...
I hope everything is fine in France, i miss the hot summer days in there.
Je vous embrasse,
Naomi
